I don’t have anyone to help me figure out fishing it’s kind of trial and error, can someone please tell me what I can do to avoid the lure hitting me? They snap off of the line before I can get to them as you can see in the video, do I need to suck it up and get a net?

I came across my first honey hole yesterday and I stayed until it was too dark to see. Which is terrifying by the way, fish are fucking active at night lol. I fish every day but haven’t had the means to get further from the shore but decided to say fuck it. Ratchet strapped my yak to the top of my little civic and made it out too Piointe Mouille after work. I’ll be back.
