Having experience with a lot of their rods -from the SLX to the Poison Adrena- as well as exceptional rod brands such as Megabass, St. Croix, Daiwa, G.Loomis, Major Craft and various others, nothing has impressed me as much as Shimano’s rods. Some are very close or equal; I will use other brands too. Shimano, however feel like they get it the most right. I urge you to try them out. Especially the ones in the picture:
Jackall X Shimano Poison Adrena, Zodias and Expride series.

They used to have the best pike rods on the market… unfortunately discontinued before I could buy one.
