have any of you had this happen in your betta community tanks?? my girl jade with her sparkling gouramis are a great example of this, the gouramis spar all the time and she kinda sits back and watches but sometimes she rushes in to scare off the one who started it. no actual chasing, just a little dart up to the aggressor. for such aggressive fish, this is very interesting behavior to me. not to mention 75% of the bettas i’ve owned have done great in communities. they all have their own personalities and in my opinion if given enough space and hiding places, they are not very aggressive (with the correct community species) unless you just get a total asshole fish, which i’ve definitely had a few of myself😂 it’s like jade is a mother breaking up her children fighting
