I treated them with API Super Ick Cure, did the whole treatment process for 5 days but i see my poor yoyos rub against everything like crazy, my glofish look really stressed also, they keep swimming in circles and my guppys are shaky (you can see it at the final part)

I introduced a 3rd yoyo 2 weeks ago, he was kinda young and nothing looked weird, until i noticed he had a bunch of white spots outta nowhere, they didnt look like grains of sand now that i think about it, they were slightly bigger, he was covered in them so i just treated the whole tank (10 gallon btw).
Sadly, he passed away yesterday night, and im so heartbroken you cant even imagine.

Im so scared for my babies, they are soooo itchy and idk if i have to continue the treatment or see if theres other parasite thats bothering them, i know the yoyos are scaleless and did a half dose, should i continue or what can i try?? Please help me, im desperate, i dont wanna lose them, had them for almost 3 years now.

  1. That’s not ich. Flashing is usually parasites, such as gill flukes, check forother symptoms than flashing as well before you treat with anything.

Throw some aquarium salt in there. It causes the parasites to dehydrate and die. Lookup aquarium coops page on treating with aquarium salt. I have had great success with just using salt. It really should be the first go to. When you add it, it’s going to look like way too much. However, if you follow the aquarium coop guide it will be fine.

Also ich is totally a parasite and will cause fish to flash as they can’t itch themselves.
