Need Advice for a beginner!! I’m very very new to surf fishing/beach fishing/inshore fishing/ whatever you prefer. What fish is this? A pompano? I literally used like a bass hook (I’m from georgia) and 3 small split shot weights with shrimp. I then went and bought my own rod & reel (it’s not super nice but it’s usable and works) and then went to the bait shop to get shrimp and also took the bait shop persons advice and went with the 3 oz pyramid/triangle weights (more heavier) and the pompano rig. Also, I have used a dead (I’m assuming) shrimp from the bait store in vilano. !!!!!!How do I reel/work the shrimp? Or do I just cast and leave it out?!!!!!!! I have been using the pompano rig (I had no luck) but just put on a carolina rig which came with the set with my rod and reel. I need some advice. Fishing on the st Augustine shores
