Briefly searched this sub and didn’t see this mentioned anywhere. New NYS record was potentially caught last Friday out of Cayuga lake. Over 12lbs. I honestly wasn’t sure there were bass that big up here. Now I need to start planning a trip to Cayuga to fish.

12lb seems insane for up north. I just hope it’s not a Mike long thing.

  2. I love that instead of releasing her at the meeting location, he went back the 10 miles it was to where he caught her to do so. What an amazing example of care and compassion to be set for the community.

Sigh. I’m gonna be that guy. Forward facing sonor is changing the game.

Congrats to this guy and everyone who catch fish but we have to acknowledge how easy this makes it to at least locate fish.

Catching a PB using all this tech is just less impressive to me.

Either way, great catch and release.

That one fish outweighed my last whole total weight at a bass tourney last month lolol

  5. My PB in NJ was just shy of 8 and I don’t think I’ll ever be lucky enough to get that close again.

I wonder how old the fish is? Maybe as old or older than some of warmer state record florida strain? Too bad there’s no share lunker program or a way to have preserved her long age gene.
