Those are floating baits. In my region of SoCal they will work amazing for catching seagulls 😂 In my opinion you should use a bait like the Lucky Craft flash minnow FM110 which is designed to target your intended species. They are a suspending bait that dives 2 to 4ft depending on how you fish them 😉

  2. I’d throw the Hydro Minnow first. If that doesn’t work, I’d try the Hydro Minnow

I live on and fish the central coast cali a lot and those should work good for perch and stripper, haven’t had a lot luck with halibut on them though. I would reccomend getting some 1-2oz jig heads and swim baits in white or black for halibut. I use white during the day and black closer to sunrise and sunset. If you get those swim baits around rocks you should be able to get some rockfish too. You should also get some 2” Berkeley gulp sandworms in camo for perch. You can Carolina rig them with a 1-2oz egg sinker or do 2 on a line with something like a high low rig with size 4 baitholder hooks (that’s my preferred method).

Where in the central coast are you going to be? I’m in the SLO region and Montana de oro has had goood stripers recently

Never fished the Left Coast but you can’t go wrong off Virginia with a red/ white combo.
