Hey guys, I went fishing for my first time since I was around 5-6 years old.
I caught this fish! I can’t tell what it is and would love some help, I believe it is a smallmouth bass or a rock bass ?
I’m very new to this and would love some advice on how to identify fish better, I thought I’d be able to but once I caught this I realized it was harder than I thought !
(I ended up unhooking it and releasing him safely back into the lake)
Sorry the photo isn’t better quality I was really excited to catch my first fish and didn’t think to take a clearer photo!
