Fishes are swimming around my rooster tail lure with power eggs on the hooks. I’m going back tomorrow but need a new plan or improved one. I was pond fishing in 100 degree weather.

Way too big.. if you use an egg on a single hook you would be better off a small piece of a live worm

  2. You arent supposed to put bait on your lures. Thats what hooks are for. A rooster tail like this you just cast out and reel in. Not jig around with bait on its treble. That wont get you anything. Use a small aberdeen hook and put a worm on it or bread or whatever if you want to catch some of those panfish.

Okay so a roostertail works by moving. It has to move to do its spinny thing. Don’t stick stuff on it because it probably won’t work with stuff added on.

Watch some youtube videos about how to use your lures.

  4. On top of everything else, you’re casting way too close to dock to feel like you’re actually fishing. I’d take all the extras off, throw crawlers out and real in slowly. I’d take 1 large fighting sunfish, large mouth, small mouth, perch over 10 baby bluegill any day. If weeds are a problem I’d find a different spot, or get a snagless jig and go for bass

If you can see them, they can see you.

You’re basically a bird to them, a predator. They don’t give a shit about your bait, they’re watching *you*
