My step mom brought him home for me, He’s so pretty, his cup says “Mustard betta” but I’ve never heard that before. Ive done A lot of research into bettas and am currently getting his tank ready, I just wanna know what kind he is HaHa

It’s a half-moon male betta. The mustard part is the yellowish coloration. But hes not much mustardy to me. He might glow up and turn more blue in a happy aquarium
The color combo is called “mustard gas”, if you google image it you’ll see a bunch of very similar colored ones!
Looks like a lovely halfmoon betta of the mustard gas color strain. I’ve got the same kind. His yellow fins will most likely turn more into the iridescent blue you see around the edges once he gets happier and healthier.
