Got my dad an inexpensive little rig for fathers day, Shakespeare micro 7′ UL with a pflueger Trion reel spun up with 8lb test mono, guy finally gets out fishing and sends me this pic with an 11lb char(lake trout) glad I tied that snap swivel on good 🤣

Ive caught smaller lakers on a light and it was an absolute panic running around the boat to keep him off the motors while he spooled me. I cant imagine doing that with a UL and 8lb mono. Way to go thays a dandy for the smoker.
