I have had a planted 10g running/cycling for about 2 months. I finally felt ready to get a few snails along with some new plants today, but this little lady intensely eyeballed my partner until he insisted we take her home. I’ve been lurking on this sub for years, so I’m very excited to be making my first post!
Please excuse the algae (why I wanted to grab some snails) and let me know if anything looks off, or any special tips you may have! I’ve already read through the extremely helpful resources in this sub and will be ordering a few betta-specific things this evening.

So cute, is she a koi type? I have a koi betta girl who look very similar I just got her too. It made me emotional to see her go from pale and sad in the cup to colorful and happily swim in her tank the next day ❤️
