Fell in love with this driftwood piece but I'm always second guessing it. I'm a bit far gone now as I've attached anubias on it as well. This is in a 5g tank with a betta and 4 shrimps. Please don't judge my white background, my betta doesn't allow me to have anything else, even bare. I just purchased some talk silk plants for the back of the tank but I'm not sure if they'll fit (we'll see tomorrow). Again, the driftwood is great but really cramps up space. I'd love to hear other opinions:)

Could you maybe take it out and hollow out the inside? It might need anchoring but that way you’d still have the piece but your little dude would have more space and a cool place to hide 🙂

  2. Just remember that it isn’t a 5 gal anymore…

It’s a 4 gal or less, because the wood takes up a gallon of space.

If you forget while using medication or ferts it could be deadly.

Edit: By the way I think it looks really good.
