It’s been a year and the inhabitants of this community tank seem happy and healthy. No deaths or sickness. Daily cleaning, weekly water changes (20-30%) with electric gravel vac. I’m saving up for a bigger tank 🙁

  1. While it’s possible to keep the waste levels in check a lot off these fish it’s technically overstocked and the fish should have more room to move around. The schooling fish would really benefit from an aquarium that 60cm/24inch or 80cm/32inch long.

Also if you end up getting a bigger aquarium you can put sand in part off it or use a sand topped soil, cories love to sift through sand.

  2. Yeah, a bit. You may overcome bioload with plants and especially floating plants if you have. But swim space seems a bit cramped. Maybe rehome one of the tetra schools and replace corries with shrimp? Tho betta might snack some shrimp depending on the personality.
