So i have bunch of driftwood that we collected from a local bog. The wood pieces were dryed and then washed and boiled 2 times. And then they were left in a plastic bag for a week. (I know super duper stupid i guess the idea was that if they are not let to dry they will stay waterlogged. But we should have put them in a tub filled with water for that. Or just let them air dry. But its too late for that.)

Only one wood piece has that white dotty mold on it, others doesn't seem to have it, but im thinking that because they all were in the same plastic bag together, that they all have microscopic mold and mold roots on them.

So my question is is the wood safe to put in aquarium? Should i boil them again (kinda impossible dont have big enough pot in here, previously boiled at my parents house)? Would cooking in owen work? What are the oppinions on spraying the wood with vinegar? Should I just throw it all away? Throw only the suspicious piece away?

Bf says it should be safe for the aquarium, food for shrimp. And that aquarium does not have suitable environment for the mold: no oxygen and too wet. Im afraid the mold is toxic for fish and shrimp. Also I want to have some of the driftwood half in water half out of the tank so there would be suitable environment for mold

I don’t know about the actual dangers (if there are any) but personally I’d just get a damp cloth and wipe the worst off and put it in. Being in the carrier bag will have done it but if it was previously boiled twice I personally wouldn’t be too concerned.
