Hello,

My water has been cycled for a week and my fish have been living here for the same time. All my parameters look correct but something escapes me. My plants are starting to brown and they have deteriorated enormously in 2 days. Do you have any ideas of what it can be?

Thanks d’avance

Plants need to acclimate to your water, your parameters will be off too.

Did you use root zone? If you’re running the bubbler all the time, this dissolves all the co2 in the water which the plants need to survive.

Do you know anything about your light? Is it a good quality full spectrum light?

I dose liquid carbon daily when the lights come on in my tank, this helps keep the plants happy and algae down too.

Plants always go into shock and die back at first just make sure that you are using a moderate amount of fertilizer. One week of cycling is not very long, I find that more concerning than the plants.
