What is your water maintenance schedule? Current water parameters and temperature?
Has anyone used chemicals or aerosols in the home recently?
Do you treat tap water before water changes?
Any new additions to the tank?
How old is the fish? If I guessed I’d say under 5 years old.

How old is the fish? Is that black stripe a wound or just natural coloring? If you have an empty tank to spare I would isolate this fish and dose the water with aquarium salt. If you don’t have an extra tank you could dose the main tank with aquarium salt as long as there are no scaleless catfish in the tank. I’m not sure what is wrong with the fish so I don’t know what else to do. Aquarium salt is almost always a good first step.
