channel cat (i think) caught on a 1/2 crappie jig, being BURNED through super murky stream water. first catfish ever, and my first catch on my new baitcaster last week.
you can see the hook in his mouth with the lure still, it took me a good while to remove it so i took my pictures quickly hence why hes still wet.

Catfish eat any and everything. They mostly rummage around but they are predatory fish as well and will occasionally hit a lure or live bait. Galftops in saltwater marsh have inhaled many of my lures over the years.
