My honey hole pond is great for 1.5-2.5 pound bass, but man they are all skinny! I have yet to catch one with a plump stomach.

I just can’t figure out why there aren’t any fatties, it’s a healthy looking pond, not a lot of cover but large and they are regularly seen patrolling the bank (fairly clear water).

Any ideas why they’re thin? Maybe they’re over populated or there just isn’t enough prey?

  1. Also, this picture is probably one of the more healthy looking ones. Many have a concave stomach and are still weighing in over 2 pounds
