Here's a useful bit of advice for fishing rivers. Let a bunch of halibut pellets soak for an hour and turn it into a paste. Then knead the paste around a large gripper lead and cast it to wherever you've clipped up. I usually do this when I Don't want to use cage feeders or on the rod that's downstream from the one I've got the cage feeder on.
