You cannot eat it but it’s fine to touch. I’m in Australia and our water are infested with them. It’s part of everyday fishing here.

It is pure refined EVIL! These butthole fish will bite my ZMan lures clean in half. When they show up I throw in the towel and go elsewhere. They’re lyin and lazy, they can be driving you crazy. I wish it were legal to kill them. On the Treasure Coast of Florida you can’t do anything to or with them.
And a word of advice: don’t let your fingers get close to their mouths. And if you do, count how many fingers you have left.
