Heya folks, just bought the first rod of my own (Abu Garcia Diplomat, 8ft. spinning rod in 4 sections), however am seemingly unable to connect the sections together to the full extent (see first pic where some of the connecting rod is still exposed). This is the same for all sections of the rod. I presume the bulges need to touch, right?
The sections are labelled correctly, so am I just being really stupid? Do I just need to add a lubricant as it’s new, or has there been a manufacuring error and the connecting rods too long? Any advice highly appreciated!
