Caught this trout fishing, other guy on creek said it wasn’t a trout but wasn’t sure what.

I don’t know enough to even tell if it’s a trout or not or if it is, what kind. Just wondering if y’all might have an ID for me. TIA

Creek chub or squaw minnow/pikeminnow depending on what part of the country in the US
