Anyone heard of Mel Krieger?

I recently started my deep dive into fly fishing and living in San Francisco we have an angling club with fly casting pools to practice on in GGP. I ran into this guy there today and started shooting the shit with him and he mentioned Mel Krieger's videos on YouTube. I was just curious if any of the OG's around here know of this guy. He sounds pretty reputable, apparently a worldwide rep for fly fishing and his video The Essence of Fly Casting was sort of a baseline for that. I was just curious if anyone had a little more knowledge of the history of the guy and his influence, seems pretty interesting.
