29″ and 11.4 lbs. I’ve got a small honey hole of a lake that is always good for Walleye, but I wasn’t expecting this hog! I was doing a slow troll in 14 feet of water with a 1/2 oz orange jig topped with a nightcrawler when I felt it bite and ended up fighting for probably 15 minutes before I had it in the boat. I actually was trying to release it for another 15 minutes, but unfortunately it kept going belly up so I put it in the cooler. All that said, talk about a damn good way to start the 4th of July week!
