Well I decided to buy a tripod earlier this year because its a nice thing to have for river fishing where the rod tips need to be high up in the air. I ended up with the small version of the korum river tripod because its very light and folds down small enough to fit in my bag. I really don't know what to do in summer aside from fishing for chub, barbel and the occasional perch so I'll keep putting this thing through it's paces.
