An elephantnose fish was one of the first fish I started with. I have had him for about 6 months and it's not at all what I expected! All of my research I did before setting up his tank warned me that 1. He will be shy and I will rarely see him. 2. Picky eater and will only eat frozen or live food.
My elephantnose fish is very outgoing and is kind of a Karen, making sure everyone is behaving and where he wants them. I do feed frozen food as well as flaked. He gets right in there with everyone else during feeding time and loves the flaked food as well.
What's your fish that acts completely different from what you expected?
