I have two saltwater setups, both of my rods are over 8ft. I want to get a kayak and fish from the ocean maybe trolling, dropping down live bait, and whatever other techniques you guys recommend.
So my question is, are 8ft rods too long from the kayak if I’m not focused on casting? And what setups would you guys recommend me starting off. The area I plan to fish is circled in red. Here there are striper, black bass, dogtooth shark, skate, and flounder. Thanks everyone!
