Yesterday I went to deadbait for pike/zander, saw my float dip under the surface, set the hook and it felt really weird. Eventual got the fish to shore and it turned out to be around ~60cm brown trout.

The fish looked awfully lot like land locked atlantic salmon, and it really got me confunsed as how on earth it got there. Sent message to friend who works as fish biologist at local enviromental agency and he confirmed that it was indeed brown trout.

When I went to fishing, there was no way that I would have imagined to catch brownie on pike deadbait gear.

Also the fish was bonked shortly before that photo was taken & it left for home with me, thus mildly rough looks.
