My yaks been sitting in my garage for over a year, maybe two.. I just never feel like going through the hassle and my nearest lake is quite a drive, so I'm usually stuck fishing the city park pond. My question is, does this thing look like a complete boondoggle or do you think someone would be interested in the whole setup if I posted it on a marketplace, or if i should post the accessories separately? sorry if this is a bit of a bummer post, I'm pretty bummed too but it is what it is.

This looks like a solid little setup. I think it would go pretty quick on Marketplace in my neck of the woods.

Have you considered stripping all that stuff off the yak and simplifying, so that it’s no longer a hassle to take out?

It does look like a boondoggle (lol) but I’m sure you’d be able to sell it because a lot of people who buy used kayaks seem to think that more accessories = more better. I don’t think that’s a wise mentality to have as a buyer, but it is what it is. I think people are better off buying bare-bones setups and adding accessories as they discover what they *actually need* through use and experience. Kinda like how you yourself have found out through experience that this level of accessorizing is not compatible with your needs because of the hassle it presents.
