Nice Father’s Day weekend catch!

Caught this big ol boy in the creek flowing out of Convict Lake in California this weekend with my dad. Biggest trout I’ve ever caught!

Fished that spot for probably 45 minutes cause there were several trout swimming behind a log jam under a pile of floating sticks and branches. Saw another about this size but he wasn’t biting. Finally got this one and as I was reeling it in my dad was walking back from his spot a hundred yards away just in time to help me land it since we didnt have a net. We had some crappy hooks that was all we could find at the small store nearby. The hook bent and the fish fell off right after he came out of the water and fell back in. I was fully accepting I lost it and was still happy, then my dad jumps in behind the fish and grabbed him with the bare hands, and pulls him back out!! It was my only catch of the weekend. Dad caught about 15 though lol.
