Just as I was about to wrap up this morning, I caught my first ever bass!

I could be totally wrong, but I think this might be a smallmouth? I know that you can tell based on the relative position from the back of the mouth to the eye, but in my excitement I forgot to look at it with a closed mouth to confirm what it was. So I’m just guessing on this ID
